*note: Because Israel did not keep the sabbatical year as they should, they endured about 70 years of Babylonian captivity. Every 6th year an extra month, Adar, was added because their calendar was based on lunar movements rather than solar 365 days.

Right of Redemption

Christ has the right as kinsman (the lion of the tribe of Judah) as He has overcome to open the book. But as Redeemer(the lamb standing as slain) He is worthy and actually takes the book and opens its seals. See links in Lev 25:47-49 and Jer 32:6-15.

Jeremiah buys the field from Hanameel. This demonstrates the right of redemption in view of the time of restoration of Israel, in the coming day. Likewise Christ has the right as the heir-redeemer, to receive the book, as the Heir of the earth.

See also ref. to 'Year of Jubilee' Lev.25:8-13. It seemed that a redeemer, in order to restore property to the former owner or relation, must be a kinsman and have the means to pay the redemptive price. Christ has earned this right. See Rev.5:1-14.
